Designer Lingerie Review - Di Murini Ivory Silk and Black Lace Chemise

Elegant 100% silk chemise with beautiful chantilly lace, double rouleau straps and pin tuck and bow details.

Personal Opinion:

Designer lingerie at it's best. This Di Murini chemise is beautifully crafted in the finest chantilly lace and european silk. I love it! It is super glamourous for the bedroom and beautifully finished! Great attention to detail has been paid on small features such as bows and straps and I think the lace on the hem is perfect and it mirrors the lace on the strap. The colours are timeless and elegant and would probably suit a more mature client!

This is a great piece of lingerie that would look great on all shapes and would give a slimming effect on those of us who are a little less shapely. It is a sexy and classic piece which has an elegant feel to it. The adjustable straps are great for comfort and provide a great fit. Definitely one of my favourites!

Lingerie Review - Simon Perele Adelaide Mink Half Cup Bra

Unique Details:

A striking and unique boned soft cup balcony bra, with delicate satin bows and satin straps. Sexy, feminine and sultry, pure elegance!

Personal Opinion:

I think this bra is absolutely stunning and certainly a bra for the bedroom! Although colours are subtle and understated they add a hint of class and glamour and will suit all skin tones! The attention to detail is exquisite with great care being taken on the cups to create an eye-catching feature. The finishings are delicate and intricate which coincide beautifully with bold boned cups, and the satin straps add a hint of luxury and decadence. The intricate folded ribbon detail along the underband adds that special touch and draws attention to the chest. What more could you ask for!

The bra itself fits great with an added elastic running along the top cup edge to make sure it fit is snug. A bra for most occasions but watch out the half cup design is not for everybody! Also take care if wearing it on a date it may have a knock out effect.

To compliment the bra perfectly is a lace thong that mirrors the folded ribbon detail on bra. The soft satin fabric adds that luxurious feel and is the perfect coordinate! However, if you really want that wow factor the suspender belt is a must have! Its gorgeous satin fabric and lace boarder mirrors the bra and thong and is an ultra feminine garment to complete a sexy sultry set! With an added corset style lacing on the front to tempt! Perfect bedroom aubade lingerie - stunning!

Better Bras - Try New Designs For a Better Fit

We are all of us creatures of habit. Once we find something we are generally happy with or at least can tolerate, we tend to stick with it. This is a mistake with bras as you'll miss advancements that can make you feel and look better.

A bra is a bra is a bra. Isn't this the way most of us think? Well, a closer look reveals this simply isn't the truth. Once can simply look at specialty bras such as sports bras. There were no sports bras a hundred years ago. Can you imagine going for a jog in a regular bra these days? Ouch! Of course most women were not doing a lot of jogging in 1909, but you get my drift.

The larger point is there are advances occurring all the time in bra design.... Many are tiny little advances, but some are big. Combined, the comfort and support factor of bras have come a long way in the last five years as well as the last twenty years. If you are sticking with a bra design that you've worn for the last five years, you are really missing out. Consider some of the advancements made recently.

What is the number on thing we hate about bras? Getting poked! Underwire bras offer great support, but they can be soooo aggravating when the underwire pokes you in the arm...underarm...breast and so on. Bra designers are not deaf. They've heard our collective groan. A number of new underwire designs now contain little buffer devices on the end of the underwire. They don't stop the poking, but the make it more of a push feeling instead of a poking. It makes a huge difference. By the way, the poking means you're wearing the wrong bra size.

Since I am not a size 1, I have a rather unflattering problem with the back of my bras. I tend to bulge around the band as it comes under my arms and around my back. It isn't a good look, but there really isn't much I can do other than go without a bra completely. I'm not really willing to do that, so I just try to wear loose clothing that hides the unsightly lumps. Well, I just found out there are new bra designs that use a microfiber designed to provide a firm fit without creating the bulges. Wow, I could actually buy a thin cotton top!

We all wear bras and there is something about each one that aggravates us. Somewhere in the world at some bra design office, there is someone trying to come up with a solution for the problem. When they do, it would be a shame to miss out on it, right? Right, so get out there and try on new designs with new technology to see if you can find a better bra for yourself.

When You Should Wear Balcony Bras

The days of one bra working for every occasion are gone with the proverbial wind and/or 401k. These days, there is a specialty bra that has been designed with a particular fashion issue in mind. The balcony bra is one of these bras.

You go out shopping and find a top you love. The top fits well and you can see it meshing well with a number of skirts and pants you have. You buy it and a week or two passes. When you finally have an opportunity to wear it, you discover a big problem. The top has a scoop neck and the upper edges of your bra cups show. Obviously, this is a major problem

The balcony bra, also known as a balconette bra, is designed to address just this outfit problem. In general, you want as much support and coverage as you can get out of your bra. With scoop or low cut neck tops, this creates a natural fashion conflict. How can you get the support you need without the cups showing? After a number of failed designs, designers came up with a unique approach.

The balcony bra solves the problem by providing more support than you usually get along the bottom and outer area of the cups. This effectively causes the breasts to rise and move towards the center of the chest. Of course, this creates cleavage, which usually is desirable with a low cut neck.

Ah, but we still have our problem with the upper edges of the cup showing, right? Not really. The balcony bra design reduces the cup coverage across the top and inner area of the breasts. This effectively keeps the cups from showing above the cut line of the top unless you are wearing something with a severe plunge.

The real beauty of a balcony bra is it provides you with a solution to low cut tops without sacrificing much performance. Bras are designed to provide support from the bottom up, not the top down. As a result, the support provided by the band running around the lower edge of the bra and the cups themselves are critical to the performance of a bra. Although the balcony bra sacrifices some support by reducing the cup coverage, it more than makes up for it with extra support in the lower cup and band area. It is a perfect mixture of form and function.

If you wear low cut tops, a balcony bra is a must for your undergarment collection.
