Matching Bathrobes For Couples

Are you looking for a great gift idea for a special couple on their anniversary, for a wedding shower, engagement party, or even on Valentine's Day? How about a gift of matching luxury bathrobes?

With so many great styles available in both men's and women's robes, you may have a difficult time deciding on which pair would be best. Here are some tips for selecting just the right bathrobes for your special couple.

Bathrobe Styles

The first thing you may want to consider is the style of the bathrobes. Probably the most commonly available in his and hers robes is the traditional, belted, shawl collar (sometimes referred to as kimono style).

Another idea is to look for a smoking jacket style made out of satin. This is a cute way for the couple to enjoy a unisex look while lounging around the house.

Hooded bathrobes are a great option for couples with an outdoor Jacuzzi spa.

Colors and Materials

Another thing to think about is the type of fabric the bathrobes are made from. Luxury robes tend to be constructed of thick, absorbent material such as microfiber, chenille, or plush cotton. Flannel or silk robes are lighter weight. Terrycloth is the traditional fabric and still very popular.

As far as colors go, try to find a men's and women's bathrobe that is similar in style but comes in a wide range of hues. For instance, you can find a pair of robes in the same style, but consider ordering the bathrobe for men in navy, burgundy or hunter green and purchasing the matching women's bathrobe in a lighter shade, which is more feminine.

An Extravagant Gift

If the occasion you are buying the couple's robes for is a very special one, you may want to think about augmenting them with some accessories.

Matching his and her pajamas, or slippers, are a great adjunct to the robes. You may also want to include a couple of mugs with hearts on them and a package of hot chocolate mix or sleepy time tea. For a romantic present, add a bottle of massage oil or warming lotion.

The possibilities are nearly endless. Just take a look online for an idea of what is available.

No matter the occasion, any couple would love getting a gift of beautiful matching bathrobes. Not only are they soft, warm, and luxurious, but they are practical and will be used for years to come.

Choosing Lingerie That Fits Your Body Type

Many people have the temptation to buy a sexy intimate undergarment to please their partner or spice up their sex life. However, to many women, lingerie can also make them extremely self-conscious, especially when they have some unflattering parts that they would rather not show. As a result, these women would rather skip buying such intimate apparels altogether or wear them anyway but get under the covers in the quickest time possible.

However, one need not be so self-conscious when wearing lingerie. As long as a woman knows which type or style of lingerie to buy, it can help to accentuate her best parts while hiding those features that are not too flattering.

Start With Colors

If you do not know where to begin when buying lingerie, start by considering the colors. Certain colors can help you look desirable while others you should definitely stay away from. Generally, women tend to have certain parts of their body that they are reluctant to reveal. Therefore, if you are one of those who want to hide certain features, try to choose dark colors to cover those areas.

The trick is to divert attention away from your not so flattering parts to other areas that you are more comfortable in revealing. This can be achieved by having brighter colors for some areas or trimmings and accessories. For example, many intimate clothing have lacy patterns or color contrast bra cups which immediately draws attention to the cleavage. So, depending on your body type, you just need to select lingerie with the correct colors at the right places to make yourself look more desirable to your partner.

Legs

Not all women have sexy long legs to show. We may have flabby thighs that are better off hidden for those romantic moments. If this is your problem, one method is to make your partner focus on the top instead. Wearing a longish nightgown that reveals much of the top would most probably achieve this effect. For instance, look for lingerie with a plunging neckline that bares much of the shoulder with sexy spaghetti straps.

Alternatively, you can try lingerie with ruffled hem for the mini skirt. This is because ruffles tend to create a measure of width, which makes people see as coming from the skirt that you are wearing rather than your thighs. Therefore, it is best to avoid snug-fitting lingerie for the lower half if you have unflattering thighs. Try shopping for intimate clothing with wide skirt for the bottom instead.

On the other hand, if you have short legs, then you can try lingerie with high cut legs design to give an appearance of height. Revealing as much legs as possible will give an illusion of height and you can achieve this by wearing teddies, which tend to have a high cut bottom.

Tummy

Not many women have flat tummies to show. So, if you do have a flabby tummy to hide when wearing lingerie, try out a garment with two colors. A bottom half with a dark color against a brighter top would automatically divert attention away from the tummy. Another option is to wear a babydoll with an empire waistline, which would easily conceal an unflattering tummy. It is also not necessary to wear sheer see through lingerie that can expose your abdomen at a glance if you are uncomfortable in revealing too much. Choose a style that is more modest instead.

Breasts

For many women, wearing lingerie can make them really shy, especially those who do not have much cleavage to show. Therefore, if you have small breasts, you will need a garment that helps to provide lift. Many lingerie such as bustiers, babydolls, corsets and camisoles now come with underwire padded cups or even push-up bras. Alternatively, make your partner focus his attention on your lower half instead by revealing much of your bottom or legs.

Bottom

G-strings and skimpy thongs can look really sexy on some but if you have a big derriere wearing them would be the last thing you should do. Instead cover it up by wearing lingerie that comes with tap pants or boy cut panty. Minimize your bottom instead of maximizing it with a skimpy underwear.

Conclusion

There are many styles of lingerie and choosing a right one can certainly make you look more appealing. Lingerie also need not be of sheer see though fabric if you are uncomfortable of revealing too much. Some women do prefer to be more modest and wearing a garment that leaves nothing to the imagination can make them feel out of place and awkward. At the end of the day, if you are buying lingerie, you will have to choose one that matches your body type as well as personality so that you will be comfortable putting it on.

If the Bra Don't Fit, You Must Quit - The Brand

Splurge shopping might be a bit off limits these days given the state of the economy, but you still have to buy certain garments. Bras certainly qualify. Oddly, not all bra brands provided sizes for all women.

You realize one day that your comfortable bras are wearing out. You head over to the mall for a few hours to browse through the selections. You find a beautiful balcony bra. You find a great strapless number as well. There's only one problem - you can't find your size. You ask the clerk and find out that the brand doesn't even make bras in your size!

Surprisingly, this is a very common problem. For whatever reason, some brands just provide bras in a relatively small sizing range. Sometimes the limitation is in the band size. Other times, they'll limit the range of cup sizes available. It is maddening, particularly if you don't fit in the "average" range, to wit, if you have a plus size bra size.

Plus size bras tend to be a fairly specific niche for bra brands. To be honest, many well know brands simply don't produce plus size bras for us women with larger breasts. This can be incredibly frustrating when shopping, particularly when you find a bra you love. One way to avoid the problem is to stick to brands that definitely cater to the plus size figure. Such brands include Le Mystere, Goddess, Freya, Panache, Fantasie of England, Chantelle and, of course, Enell for sports bras.

When it comes to bras, pricing comes a close second to fit when ranking the issues you have to consider. Oddly, plus size bras are generally priced the same as bras for "average" breast size women. One would think the niche would carry higher prices, but it simply isn't true these days.

I've always found it very odd that certain brands don't carry a full set of sizes. If you are going to go through the process of launching a brand and marketing it, an expensive affair by any measure, why would you limit your audience? To each their own, I guess. As far as you and I are concerned, try to find the best brands for your breast size and stick with them. Remember, if the bra don't fit, you must quit...the brand!

Underwire Bras - The Best Fashionable Bras For Support

When it comes to support, underwire bras are the best by far. Underwire bras enhance, uplift and support your breasts. If you are big breasted it is far more important to have the best support possible to lift up and hold the girls. These little curved wires in the undersides of bra cups really do support and lift you.

For underwires to work properly, you need to have the correct fit. The underwires need to fully encircle your breasts. It needs to be around the tissue, not on top. If you have any poking or pinching, you are wearing the wrong size bra. To ensure the correct fit, get yourself fitted or at least self measure. Again, check that it surrounds the breast. Make sure there is no spillage. See that the center gore in the front lays flat against the chest.

Not all wires are created equal. Most women like plastic coded metal. They also like flexible wires. The plastic wires help strengthen the wires and are less sharp. The flexibility helps to soften the underwire, too.

When trying on a bra, move around a lot. Jump up and down or run in place. You need to make sure that the wires are not poking or pinching. If you jiggle a lot, you are already not choosing a bra with adequate support. Pick a bra with limited movement and comfortable underwires. If you dig in, you will not dig this bra.

Make sure you have a supportive band and comfort straps. The band is crucial to support in addition to the underwires. It is best with 3 to 4 hook and eye closures and flexible without restricting or leaving marks. The straps should be wide to increase comfort level. The support comes from the underwire and band not the straps. The straps are there to help keep the bra in place. They should not dig in. You want to feel your best every time you wear a bra.

Underwires look better on than soft cup bras. They enhance the shape of your breast and your outfit. The cups stay formed and most have a nice molded shape. Plus, underwires come in a greater variety of styles. Bras such as lingerie bras, push up bras, and the bustier are mainly in underwire. You also have a greater color variety of underwire styles out there. Make sure that your underwire style bra matches your outfit. If you are wearing a low cut dress, use an underwire plunge bra. If you are wearing a strapless gown, use an underwire strapless bra. Fuller cup bras do not work for lower cut or backless outfits. Pay attention and enhance your look.

Take good care of your underwire bras and replace them every six months. Bras are not meant to last forever. The wires get bent out of shape. The surrounding material wears out allowing wires to poke through. The elastic wears out. Fortunately, you can help make your bras last longer by just a few simple steps. Wash your bras by hand. Let them air dry on a flat surface. If you must wash them, use a lingerie bag, cold water, and non harsh chemicals. If you insist on a dryer, keep it at a low temperature. Plus, use a small load of laundry.

Underwire bras, like any bras, are not equal. Make sure to get fitted. Check to see if they encompass your breasts and lay flat against your chest without spillage. Pay attention to the wires. Make sure they are flexible with plastic coding. Know your size and move around when trying on a bra. Remember a bra is meant to enhance your outfit. Buy a variety of styles. Finally, take good care of your lingerie. Hand wash and dry. Underwire bras are you friend. They enhance, uplift, and support you. When it comes to support and fashion, underwire bras are the best on the market.
