Hanky Panky Panties - 5 Secrets For Buying Panties That Fit Correctly

With all the styles of panties available today, you might be asking yourself how you can buy panties that will fit correctly. When you're buying the Hanky Panky brand, your style choices will most often consist of lace boyshorts, low rise lace thongs, the bridal thong with Swarovski crystals, or the original Hanky Panky 4811 or 4911 thong.

Regardless of your favorite style, here are five secrets for buying panties that will fit correctly when you wear them.

1. Pull the panties up and center them on your body, with the fabric of the crotch area pulled forward. Place your fingers under the leg openings, moving your hand from the front to the rear. Make sure that the seat of the panties cups your buttocks. Then arrange the panty's waistband evenly around your waist.

2. If you're unsure how the fabric in the crotch area should fit, you will know it's comfortable when it doesn't bind your skin, and when there is no excess fabric at the front or back. Note that the seam at the front crotch area should not slip backwards.

3. If the waistband on the panties bunches up and rolls over, yet the panties appear to fit well across your backside, then you've probably selected the wrong size or style for your body's shape. The waistband should stay in place and feel comfortable, without binding. In addition, when you first stepped into your panties, the panty should be easy to pull up over your hips. You might want to buy a smaller size or select another style of panty to achieve a correct fit. If you don't want to take a chance by buying the wrong size, you can find panty fit calculators online that allow you to input your measurements. Then buy or order your panties according to the recommended sizing results.

4. When the waistband fits comfortably, and there is no binding or excessive fabric across the front and the back, but the leg openings leave marks or grooves on your thighs, then buy a high-cut panty that rests on your hips for a more comfortable fit.

5. For the ultimate fit and comfort, your panties should cup the buttocks evenly, and when you look in the mirror, the panties should look symmetrically positioned. If your designer panties still feel uncomfortable, then choose a style with full coverage of your abdomen and your bottom. Remember, whenever you periodically tug at your panties to get them positioned properly, you're wearing the wrong size or style.

In summary, when you're wearing the correct size and style, you will feel like you're not wearing any panties at all.

Where to Find Fully Fashioned Stockings

During World War II stockings were very hard to find because the nylon used for making them was used for other materials to support the war. Because of this, collectors of vintage stockings and clothing find these items in high demand. In the 1960's seamed stockings were replaced by pantyhose as the most popular form of hosiery but they are making a come back and are more popular than ever. Now you can find seamed hosiery in just about every color combination you can think of. Whether you are looking for vintage stockings or modern seamed stockings in a variety of colors, it is important to know what your choices are for purchasing them.

Vintage fully fashioned stockings are the most difficult to find because of their original scarcity. The best place to find them, though, is on the Internet. Websites catering to vintage clothing and collectibles will often have these items for sale. You can also look to online auction sites such as eBay and bid on them. If you are not Internet savvy, though, or prefer to view your items before purchasing, you may want to research local vintage clothing stores. Because retro looks are very much in fashion nowadays, most major cities have a variety of vintage shops from which to choose. Vintage stockings are more expensive than modern ones but for true collectors they are very much worth the additional cost.

Modern seamed stockings are much easier to find. Because of their popularity, you need only look in your local clothing stores to find exactly what you are looking for. Lingerie shops, department stores and even the large discount stores will all carry a variety of seamed hosiery. For specialty hosiery, though, such as two toned seamed stockings or various nontraditional colors, you may want to look at lingerie stores specifically as they will have the most variety. Online shopping is another sure fire way to get the hosiery you may need. Generally, shopping online is easy and inexpensive. You can choose the fully fashioned stockings you want from one of many available online stores and have your items shipped to you within a few days.

The Perfect Bra For Your Low Cut Dress

When it comes to fashion, there are many choices we can choose from. Making a choice based on an event is a time tested task. Wearing a sexy low cut dress to a cocktail party is a great choice, but you need a bra that will work with the look.

With a low cut dress, your goal should be to achieve a focal viewing point from your face down through the bust line. As the old saying goes, "Hey, my eyes are up here!" To achieve the look, you want to show a lot of skin and your dress should do that. To really make the look go, however, you want the focal line to run vertically from your forehead to your cleavage. This means you need some cleavage to make it work.

The perfect bra for this look is a sexy underwire plunge bra. Theses bras are unique in that they tend to create a vertical crease of cleavage without showing any bra material. This can be done because the cups tend to be three pieces that fit snugly. They are designed in such a way that the only area where there is not a lot of coverage is in the cleavage. As a result, your breasts will naturally mold in that direction, which will create the desired look. Importantly, the plunge bra will not push the breasts up, so don't expect such a result.

If you really want to go for monstrous cleavage, a regular bra is not really going to do the job. The problem is the more you reveal, the more likelihood the bra will show. The solution is a "U" plunge bra. This bizarre looking bra gets its name from the area below the cleavage. Instead of running horizontally from the bottom of one cup to the other, the bra material goes straight down towards your belly button a few inches and then bends back up to the other cup - a "U" look. This allows you to really show a ton of cleavage, but the bra is very uncomfortable and provides little support to your breasts. It might be good for a short event, but not much longer.

The little black dress should be a part of any woman's closet. To look your absolute best in it, try a sexy underwire plunge bra. You'll be smiling at the number of looks you get.

Comfort First For Intimate Lingerie

When it comes to wearing lingerie, the number one thing that ladies look for is comfort. They can be meticulous with the design and style, with the fabric it is made of, even with the color and other minute details but first and foremost they are truly concerned for the comfort and are after for it beyond anything else. Undergarment companies understand the need of woman to feel comfortable wearing lingerie that they even conduct research and interviews and apply certain technology in manufacturing undergarments to come up with something that ensures comfort and much needed support. Every time a new line of lingerie is being presented and promoted, expect that the companies behind them have got something to offer like perhaps a more fitting body contour design or better quality of materials.

Makers of intimate lingerie know for a fact that women nowadays are engage in more activities than ever before and therefore they are more mobile. They just don't stay at home cooking, gardening, knitting and attending to various household chores. Well, they still do those things but more activities were added on their list. Most women go to work, engage in outdoor and recreational activities, go to the gym and do sports. Simply put, women are more active these days and it means that they needed all the comfort and support they could get from they undergarments. Some of the latest innovations in lingerie-making are the following:

o Strapless brassiere are great when you wear tubes or off-shoulder clothes however, many women have complained that the metal underwire is very uncomfortable.

o Brassieres with detachable plastic straps (stretchable and are more comfortable to use, also comes in a variety of color to match a particular outfit, some are even transparent to make the appearance of the bra strap less noticeable since there would be certain occasions where an exposed strap is perceived to be a major turn off)

o Seamless lingerie (the no-trace rule applies here, for those women who would be wearing tight pants or those made of Lycra (like jogging pants and gym outfits) and other body-hugging clothes and do not wish that their panty lines show whenever they bend or twist or walk)

o For lactating mothers, a brassiere that opens are designed to suit their needs. This is so that they do not need to remove the bra when they are breast feeding.

o Body-hugging lingerie (for a more defined body contour the elicits that sexy confidence)

o Breathable bras and underwear are the product of latest technology called the 'breathing technology'. This lets the skin breathe and as a result very comfortable for the wearer.

You can sometimes ague about quality over cost. The good lingerie is often costly which is why not many will be able to afford them. However, if you are willing to wait for sale season, you might just be lucky enough to get them for a friction of the cost.

The materials that are used to make the intimate lingerie and undergarment plays an important role in making it comfortable to wear. Listed below are the three most common type of materials often used to make them:

o Cotton

Lingerie made of cotton are not only reasonably priced but also comfortable to wear especially for those who leads an active life. This type of undergarment will be able to absorb sweat therefore making the skin comfortable to breathe.

o Silk

Silk is a luxurious material and with that comes the expensive price tag. Undergarment and intimate lingerie made from silk will also carry that luxurious and silky feel on the body. Silk is also cooling for the skin. Because of its luxurious trademark, silk is always associated with the royalty and they have been known to wear silk for special occasion.

o Satin

Satin undergarment and lingerie are much more affordable than those made from silk. They are smooth and sensual therefore can ignite passion when worn or felt by the skin. Men like the feel of satin nightgowns because of this. Satin, although smooth and soft is very durable and they can last long and even without the care and attention given to them like silk.

Mary Phelps Jacob - Making Bras Comfortable

You probably don't give much thought to the background of the brassiere when you put one on each morning. You should! If it wasn't for a woman named Mary Phelps Jacob, you would be very uncomfortable.

Statistics show that many women do not wear the right bra size. This leads to complaints regarding the comfort of bras. If you are one of these women, you have no idea how good you have it. Look back 100 years and you find bras that were more torture device than breast support pieces. At that time, women were still wearing bra-corsets that were extremely restricting and used whale bone to hold everything in place. To say they were uncomfortable is a minor understatement. Whales weren't too happy either.

In 1913, the world of brassieres changed dramatically for the better. The women of the time were sick of feeling miserable and one woman in particular took action. Mary Phelps Jacob was a socialite in New York. She purchased a dress for an event that had a plunging neckline. The traditional whale bone corset looked horrific under the dress, so she needed an alternative. With some ribbon and two handkerchiefs, she came up with the first modern bra design.

The bra was a hit. Soon friends and family were asking her to make them versions of this new undergarment. When one paid her a dollar, the lights went on in her head. She could make a business out of it. Smartly, she immediately patented the bra design with the patent being issued on November 3, 1914. The world would never be the same.

Ironically, the bra really did not become a big hit until World War II. There wasn't any fashion trend that made the change occur. Instead, women went to work in factories and corsets were simply not a viable undergarment option when doing so. As the war progressed, the government also asked women to stop buying corsets as they steel used in them was needed for the war effort.

Obviously, the bra you wear today has advanced dramatically since 1913. Still, the 1913 bra created by Mary Phelps Jacob was the first patented bra that moved from the constricting, painful corset idea to the modern bra ideal...... For this reason, both women and whales owe her a debt of gratitude!

Per Fit!

Many women profess that they would rather be comfortable but look unflattering, while others declare that they would rather be uncomfortable as long as they look cute. An ill-fitting bra is uncomfortable, unflattering, and sometimes, just downright ugly. Proper-fitting lingerie should not only be comfortable but should make a woman look her best by lifting, separating, accentuating, supporting and minimizing or maximizing her assets.

Most studies indicate that 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra (you may not want to admit it, but you're probably one of them!). A poor-fitting bra does more than ruin a fabulous outfit; it also makes a woman appear unkempt and sloppy. Finding a well-fitting bra is a lot easier than you think. The key is to have accurate measurements. Lingerie should be comfortably snug, not binding, pinching, or gapping.

To calculate your bra size:

1. Measure for band size. Grab a tape measure and keeping it parallel with the floor, measure under your arms, around your back and directly under your bust. Round all measurements to the nearest whole number. If the measurement is even, that's your band size; if the measurement is odd, add 1".

2. Measure for cup size. Standing straight and keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor, measure the fullest part of your bust (around your back and across the nipple line). Please make sure you're not wearing a padded bra when you do this! If you have large and/or sagging breasts, pull your bra's shoulder straps up for a more accurate measurement. Round all measurements to the nearest whole number.

3. Calculate your bra size. To determine your bra size, subtract your band measurement (step 1) from your cup measurement (step 2). A one-inch difference is an "A" cup. For each inch in difference, the cup goes up by one size. For example: 2" = "B" cup, 3" = "C" cup, 4"= "D", 5" = "DD" and a 6" difference = "DDD" cup.

Example:

o Step 1: Band measure = 37". The measurement is odd, so add 1" = 38" band

o Step 2: Cup measure = 40"

o Step 3: Subtract band measure from cup measure: 40" cup - 38" band = 2" or "B" cup

o Conclusion: Your bra size would be 38B

Now that you're found your true bra size, here are a few additional pointers.

1. Just as buying a pair of shoes a size too small can damage your feet, buying a bra that is too tight is not sexy and can also damage your breasts. If you are spilling out of the cup, go up a size. Similarly, if you're filling out the cup, go down one cup size. Cups should be full without spilling over the tops or sides.

2. Measure your bra size every year as your body changes, i.e. from weight gain, weight loss or pregnancy.

3. Check your bras and discard those with loose straps, lost elasticity, and tears.

4. Underwire bras are meant to surround and support your breasts. If they poke or jab, try going up a cup size.

5. Experiment with different styles of bras. Every style and cut fits and shapes your bust differently.

6. Hand wash your lingerie in cold water and drip dry. Hot water will shrink the material and can cause the underwire to pop out. Do not wring or squeeze the water out.

With all the bra styles to choose from, I encourage you to find your true bra size. Upon request, many department stores offer complimentary bra fitting. The right bra will not only enhance an outfit, it will also upgrade your image and help you look and feel your best!

Balcony Bras - Their Purpose and the Looks They Go With

The world of bras has become so vast that it can be difficult to keep them all straight, much less their purposes. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the balcony bra, its purpose and when it should be worn.

"Balcony bra" may sound like a strange name. Well, this is probably the case because the phrase is actually a shortened version of the true name - a "balconette bra". Regardless of what you call it, the bra truly does act somewhat like a balcony. It provides significantly more support around the bottom of the breasts, creating a "balcony" of sorts.

This balcony effect also reveals the purpose of the bra. The upward pushing effect creates...well, an upward push. This makes the breasts appear more buxom. You can wear it for this sole effect, but most women amplify the effect by wearing a top that shows a lot of cleavage. The balcony bra is excellent at creating that deep cleavage look that men seem to find so enticing.

At this point, you might be thinking the balcony bra sounds a lot like a half cup bra. You're right. The primary difference is the cut of the bra. The cups are cut in such a way that the material doesn't slide up into the cleavage area. The top of the cup is also cut lower than a half cup bra. This allows you to wear tops that have not only deep cleavage, but show a lot of the width of the chest. Worried about the straps showing? They are attached in a broad set that places them closer to the shoulders than with normal bras.

Many specialty bras are a pain to own for two reasons. One, you can only wear them on certain occasions because they fail to provide the necessary support or comfort for other occasions. For example, most women do not walk around in strapless bras! The second reason ties into the first. Bras are not exactly cheap and that is important these days. Owning bras you can only wear every so often just doesn't make financial sense. Fortunately, the balcony bra does not have these problems. Since it offers massive support from the bottom up, you can wear it with practically any outfit.

If you don't own a balcony bra, you should give them a closer look. A quality balcony bra is versatile and can really create a look that will leave them with the tongues wagging.

A Man's Guide to Buying Sexy Underwear For the Woman in His Life

Although most women will tell you that it's probably not appropriate to buy sexy underwear for a woman when it's only your second or third date, if you have a woman in your life whom you've been involved with for awhile, then you need to learn how to buy her sexy underwear that she'll appreciate.

Buying your woman sexy panties tells her that you think she's important enough, and sensual enough to appreciate that you believe she's desirable and beautiful.

Following is a short but detailed list of how to buy sexy designer underwear for that special woman.

1. Buy her a name brand panty or thong from a reputable online store or a high-end store in the mall. Even if she's not a brand-conscious woman, she will appreciate the effort you've made, and the comfortable fit.

2. To overcome any confusion by shopping in a store at the mall, (there are just too many choices, and too many sales clerks asking if they can help you), you'll find that it's much easier to shop online, and then just have the package mailed to your home or office. (However, this does require some advance planning on your part.)

3. Check to see if the online store has a return policy that is allowed in your state. Some online stores allow returns, but if you live in a state that doesn't allow undergarments to be returned, then your special lady will be unable to return your gift for a different size or color.

4. Pay attention throughout the ordering process to make sure that the item you wish to purchase is available for immediate shipment. You don't want to place your order and then discover that the sensuous panties you wanted to buy are on back order for two months down the road.

5. Allow enough time for your order to be processed, shipped, and for the package to arrive in your hands several days or a week before the day when you plan to give your woman her special gift. If the online retailer has an express shipping option, then you might have to spend a few extra dollars to make sure your gift arrives ahead of time.

6. Women's panties are available in a variety of colors and styles. Choose those that you believe would be most pleasing to her. After all, it's her gift, right?

7. When you're unsure about what size to order for her, you can refer to the website's sizing chart for guidance. If you've really prepared to buy her a gift in advance, then you already know what size she wears, and what her favorite color is, so buying online should go quickly.

8. If you really want to dazzle her on the evening that you give her your gift, create a little gift card that has a rhyming message. It doesn't have to be anything spectacular, but just a short verse or two shows her that you took the time to appeal to her sensitive side.

9. Finally, just know in your heart that you're being selfish for yourself. You're buying her a gift so that she feels good and appreciates you, but you'll benefit when she models her gift for you.

Are You Man Enough to Shop For a Gift in a Women's Lingerie Store?

Many men feel uncomfortable walking through a women's lingerie store, in an attempt to choose a sexy gift for their woman. Most certainly, there are female sales clerks eager to assist, however, unless you know what style of bra, sleepwear, or panties to buy, you will need to look at an assortment of styles and colors.

Does it embarrass you to hold up a thong or a pair of panties while you decide which color might suit your sweetheart's pleasure? Or, maybe you've entered a women's lingerie store, looked around, saw the myriad of choices, and walked out without purchasing anything.

Of course, if you're a man who doesn't embarrass easily, and you enjoy looking at all the sexy and erotic intimate apparel, then you most likely don't have a problem buying sexy lingerie in a store.

Buying panties for a woman is a pleasurable browsing adventure, but you might prefer to shop online in the privacy of your room or office. If that's the case, then you might benefit from a few quick descriptions of panty styles, which will make your online shopping trip much easier.

Thong Panties are sometimes nothing more than a little piece of fabric at the center, and are held together with a string-type appearance at the rear, or a small triangular piece of fabric at the front. Some styles of thongs use stretchable lace, but the most apparent feature of the thong is that the fabric at the rears of the thong almost disappears between the checks of the buttocks (of course, you won't see that when you're holding up the thong, but you can use your imagination if you've never seen a thong before). Besides appearing sexy, thongs give clothing the appearance that the woman isn't wearing any panties at all.

The G-string, T-back, and V-string are versions of the thong. You might also notice that some thongs are referred to as a tanga, which is what they call thongs in Brazil. Don't be discouraged; a tanga or a thong is the same thing.

Bikini panties have more coverage and usually ride low on the hips. Also, bikini panties have a fuller piece of fabric at the sides than a thong.

Another tip for choosing just the right lingerie for your woman is that sometimes online stores group panties by brand names, such as Hanky Panky, Commando, or Cosabella. Each brand can represent several styles of panties. Furthermore, some online stores provide links to the panty styles, such as, thongs, bikinis, boycut, briefs, low-rise, or high-cut panties.

The Full Brief Panties are what some men refer to as "Granny" panties since the fabric covers most of the area from the waist to the crotch. Some men find this sexy, while some women consider the full brief panties practical, especially when they know no one will them, or during that special time of the month.

Boycut Panties are similar to the full brief panties, but they don't extend all the way to the waist. Some boycut panties have patterns, lace, or are made of sheer fabric. This style of panty looks like a tight pair of boy's shorts, and has become quite popular and fashionable during recent years.

High-Cut Panties show more of the thigh, and they look very sexy. Shorter women love this style panty since it makes their legs appear longer. The high-cut panty is also known as a French-cut panty.

Whether you're ordering panties in the United States, Europe, or somewhere else in the world, most International lingerie stores have conversion charts for calculating sizes in various countries. If unsure, you can always find a conversion chart on the Internet.

In summary, if you're man enough to shop in a retail store at the mall, then enjoy your gift-buying adventure. If you're more timid, then head to your favorite online women's lingerie and panty website to check out all the latest styles and colors.

How Old Does a Girl Have to Be Before She Can Wear Thong Panties?

If you're a teenaged girl and you're thinking about buying thong panties, either online or at your favorite store at the mall, you'll want to consider several factors before spending your babysitting money or allowance on such a purchase.

If you're eighteen years old, and you attend college, live in your own apartment, or still live at home, I believe that most adults would advise that you're old enough to decide whether you want to wear thong panties.

If you're eighteen, and you think that your mother may not approve of your underwear choices, I guess the only way she would discover the fact that you wear thongs is by going through your laundry or your panty drawer. If that happens, you're old enough to make your own choices, and you've probably purchased the thongs with your own money; so what can Mom say, really?

If you're a young teenager, then I'm guessing that you don't have a credit card to make thong purchases online, and you might not even have your own money to buy thongs at the mall; so this fact changes things as you look at this topic through your parent's eyes.

Have your parents specifically told you that you can't wear thong underwear? If they have forbidden you to wear thongs, then have they explained their reasoning? You don't want to get into trouble with your parents while you're still living at home, and if they are paying for your clothes and underwear, then you might not have a choice until you're a few years older and earning your own spending money.

However, if you've been raised in a family with religious beliefs that attach specific ideas against wearing underwear that would be viewed as promiscuous or suggestive, then you probably should forget about the idea of wearing thongs as long as you're living at home or being raised with that point of view.

Another point that should be stressed at this stage of the conversation is the fact that when a girl or woman decides to wear thong panties, she most likely has to shave to remove the excess hair that will be exposed while wearing that type of underwear.

Have you already begun shaving your legs and underarms? If so, then you know that once you start shaving, you have to keep up with removing the growth of hair that shows up after two days of not shaving. If you're too young to shave, then you might want to consider not buying thongs at this season of your life. However, if you are already shaving your legs and underarms, then maybe this isn't a big deal for you.

The bottom line is that if you're old enough to earn your own money and you've already shaved your legs and underarms, then you're probably old enough to buy thong panties.

How to Choose a Thong Panty That Fits Your Body the Best

Whether you have a large lingerie collection of thongs, or if you're thinking of buying your first thong panty, you'll want to learn how to choose a thong that fits your body the best so that you get the perfect fit.

Thong panties come in all shapes, designs, and styles, and the purpose is to allow you to choose the type that fits your body the best. First and even before you look at the styles available at your favorite store, you should pay attention to the type of fabric the thong is made of. Some fabrics and thongs look pretty and sexy, but the fabric could chafe the delicate areas of your skin. Choose your fabric wisely.

Of course, you should always launder your undergarments before you wear them for the first time to remove the "sizing" or the fabric's synthetic finish. After washing your panties, they will feel softer to the touch and next to your skin. In addition, if you wear your new panties before washing them, any stains on them will be more difficult to remove later.

You'll want to select a panty fabric that is soft, natural, and breathable to allow the air to circulate between the fabric and your skin. For example, leather panties might look good, but you wouldn't want to wear them for eight hours while you're working.

Nylon, natural cotton, and microfiber are good fabric choices when buying women's underwear. Make sure that any moisture will be able to evaporate, otherwise, chafing can occur, and your skin will feel irritated and raw.

Another important factor to consider when choosing a thong that is perfect for your body type is the crotch area size of the fabric. The fabric on thongs is usually minimal so it doesn't bunch up and show through your clothing. However, when you choose a thong that has a cotton-lined crotch area, make sure that the length of the fabric fits appropriately for your body type.

If the fabric is too narrow, the thong may twist to one side or the other, which would make you want to fidget with the fabric several times during the day. Likewise, if you choose a thong that has stretchable lace, for example, the elasticity will create a more comfortable fit. Furthermore, if the fabric in the crotch area doesn't fit properly, it will drive you crazy if the length is too short, because the material will bind and could rub your skin raw.

When the fabric is soft and breathable, and the thong's fabric in the crotch area covers you and fits comfortably, then you'll know that you have found the brand and style of your favorite thong. Before long, you'll have an ample collection of thongs that you will love to wear and buy again when the old ones wear out.

A Hanky Panky Bridal Thong - Is it the Perfect Choice For Your Wedding Day Lingerie?

Are you getting married and planning your lingerie wardrobe? Congratulations! Perhaps by now, you have already been fitted for your bridal gown, and your wedding invitations have been sent. You're making lists of things to do, and one item that lingers in your mind is what type of undergarment you'll wear on your special day and for your honeymoon.

This is where the fun begins. Lingerie for brides is more alluring and decadent today than in years past. There are many panty styles, colors, and adornments available in the stores, but what are the most important things to consider when selecting the perfect assortment of bridal lingerie?

Let's focus first on the underwear that you'll choose for your wedding ceremony, and then you can plan what you'll pack for your honeymoon. Most important is that you don't just wear any old pair of panties that is hiding in your lingerie drawer. Your wedding is a special and memorable day; your bridal underwear deserves the same value.

As a bride, you have many decisions to make, and one that you should not overlook is the type of undergarments you will wear on your wedding day. You'll most likely want to choose panties or a bridal thong like the Hanky Panky brand that offers comfort, fit, and quality. Choosing a panty that is pretty and sexy should also be on your priority list since this is definitely your special day. Certainly, you don't want to be walking down the aisle, or standing at the altar and feeling like your panties need an adjustment. Oh, no!

The Hanky Panky bridal thong is a low-rise thong that is known for its unique color patterns, excellent fit, and the sleek silhouette that features high-cut legs. The rise is 3.5 inches and the back measures 1.5 inches at the narrowest point. The Hanky Panky low-rise patterned lace thong uses 100 percent nylon and has a 100 percent cotton lining.

One reason why so many brides choose the Hanky Panky bridal thong for their wedding day is that the colors are white or neutral, so they'll work well with your wedding gown. Another reason is that the panties have Swarovski crystals sewn onto them, which gives the panties a totally elegant adornment.

After the wedding ceremony is over, and you've slipped away during the reception to your hotel room, you'll remove your wedding gown in the dimly lit room. That's when the beautiful tiny crystals will shimmer as your husband saunters up to you with that gleam of love in his eyes. What could be more romantic?

Let's not forget to set the mood for the first day of your honeymoon. That's when you'll want to step into another sexy pair of erotic-style panties or a low rise lace thong to entice your new husband to watch you get dressed. Maybe you'll even slowly crawl into a sexy matching bra. It's all about the visuals you create for your husband, and you're the one who gives the designer lingerie its appeal and uniqueness. So, go ahead and shop for your ideal wedding lingerie, remembering that your goal is to feel playful and sexy while feeling totally at ease with the comfort and fit of your bridal panties.

Why Do Women Wear Thong Panties?

After reading the responses to my thousands of blog posts and newsletters over the years, the same question continues to be asked several times a year: Why do women wear thong panties?

The answers vary depending upon whether it's a male's response or a female's response, but the bottom line is that women wear thong panties for three reasons:

1. To hide their visible panty lines while wearing tight-fitting clothes

2. To feel sexier when undressing in front of a man

3. Because they'd hate to get caught wearing full coverage briefs or "Granny Panties" while in public [think about the Brigit Jones's Diary movie].

Naturally, most men will tell you that regardless of how much a woman weighs, or what her body shape looks like, if the woman has a sensuous attitude while wearing thong panties, they're sexy and erotic. Period!

I remember one particular blog post from a woman who said this about thongs...have any of you women ever gone to a male dance club and seen a muscular hunk of a guy wearing white cotton boxers or Fruit of the Loom undies who looked sexy and wanted you to put a dollar in his big wide elastic waistband? Don't think so.

The point this woman was trying to make was that sexy is as sexy does. When you feel sexy, you dress sexy; and if you dress sexy, you feel sexy. It doesn't matter what you look like. What matters is the aura that you project to those around you.

So the bottom line is that it doesn't matter what a woman looks like while she's wearing a thong. What matters is the image she conveys. A woman doesn't have to be model-skinny with muscular abs to appeal to the male population while she's wearing a thong. In fact, many men don't like skinny and buff women. They prefer women who are confident in their own skin.

Have you ever traveled to Hawaii and watched the native Hula dancers? Believe me, they're not skinny, but their dance moves mesmerize everyone in the audience.

Most women and men I've talked to believe that when a woman wears a thong, she's a confident, liberated, sexual, sensual, and exciting person. Why? Because that's the image she projects. So the answer to the question, why do women wear thong panties, is...because they feel sexy!

In Search of the Perfect Bra

Out of antiquity there comes many stories and legends of the old ways. From the back corner of women's bathrooms to Tupperware parties, the legend of the perfect bra has grown over time. Let us investigate whether the perfect bra exists or is just a sad wish of women everywhere.

Let's start with the basic issue of what should the perfect bra incorporate. An underwire? I think not! No poking, thank you. We're going to need lots of support from the bottom up to give our shoulders a break. We'll want full cup support to make sure there is no "wandering" to and fro. The material should be soft and breathable. Of course, the bra should be sexy. It should be adjustable so we can look bigger or smaller than we are. We'll want some solid cleavage and the ability to show some skin.

So, what have we described? It sounds like the ultimate Frankenstein bra. Our perfect bra is basically a sports bra made of velvet that provides full cup support while also somehow creating cleavage. Obviously, this particular design is impossible. It also lets us see why there are so many different styles of bras.

In truth, most women would consider a bra "perfect" if it was comfortable. This means quality material, plenty of support and a quality fit. How hard could it be to put those thre things together? As you and I both know, it is pretty hard. So why is it so hard for bra designers to come up with the perfect bra for us? There are a couple of reasons.

The first issue has to do with our breasts. We have two of them. By all rights, they should be the same size. If yours are, you are exceedingly lucky. Most of us have variations. One might be a bit bigger and have a rounder shape or it might be the exact opposite. How then is a bra designer supposed to come up with a bra that can meet our individual requirements? The only way is by doing a sizing and building a custom bra for each of us. If you have the money, you can get it done. Most of us can't afford that kind of expense.

The second issue has to do with how we change through the month. As you know, your breasts get sensitive around that special time of the month. Well, they also increase in size and often will change shape. Now you know why the bra designers always have migraines!

The simple fact of the matter is our size is a moving target for bra designers. A bra that fits us perfectly on the 5th day of the month may be too small or big on the 20th day. This is why there is not and really cannot be a perfect bra until some technology is developed that can change sizes with our body. Perhaps nanotechnology will do the trick!

Bra, Bust and Knickers! Make Certain You Wear the Best Fitting Lingerie

Just because your underwear is more often than not hidden from sight it does not mean that you can get away with wearing ill fitting and unpresentable garments. These can totally ruin the look and shape of even your most expensive outfits. Investing in a range of different bras and knickers to suit the various necklines and outfits you possess is an absolute essential. A halter-neck, backless, strapless or sports bra should easily cover most eventualities whilst smooth, well-shaped undies that fit properly and streamline your curves will avoid the dreaded VPL (visible panty line). Correctly fitting underwear ensures that both you and your outfits look your best at all times. Good underwear can also help to improve your posture, pull in your waist, flatten your stomach and lift your bust. Equally, by choosing properly fitting knickers your hips and bottom can take on a smoother outline.

Despite repeated reminders to get our bra size measured regularly by a professionally qualified lingerie consultant, at least 70% of women in the UK are still wearing incorrectly sized bras. Any good lingerie store should offer a free fitting service as well as advice on the best underwear for your clothes.

A bra is an important investment since it provides essential support as well as creating the foundation for your outfit. However, there are several situations when a bra might not be working correctly. For example, if it's uncomfortable and you can't wait to take it off when you get home then it's probably the wrong size or maybe the underwire is coming out and digging into your flesh. You may find it is cutting into your breastbone due to the straps being too tight or too small or, alternatively, you may have sore red marks on your shoulders indicating that your bra is not supportive enough. The back of your bra should sit in the middle of your back. If it does not or if it rides up then it is probably too big and your breasts are not being supported correctly.

With today's huge choice, there should be no excuse for not being able to find a cut and fit of knickers that's right for you. There are a few basic styles to invest in to ensure that you always look sleek and smooth without the need for 'going commando'. Always remember to put on flesh-coloured underwear if you are wearing white or more see-through outfits. For really tight-fitting clothes a g-string may be appropriate to avoid VPL and boy-style shorts are excellent in achieving a smooth line under figure hugging skirts.

For further advice on which is the best underwear for you, a visit to your local department store or image consultant is recommended. Alternatively, you could book a full style consultation with an image consultant who is trained in finding the right styles for you.

The Endless Beauty of Lace Lingerie

For many years, lingerie has been a crucial part of many women's wardrobe and is an extremely intimate and sensual piece of clothing. Although lingerie is worn underneath the main garments and not openly displayed, it is given just as much thought and consideration by the women that wear it. Lingerie is produced using a variety of materials including silk and nylon and is available in many styles and sizes and one of the most popular types is lace lingerie, which is preferred by many women for several reasons.

As previously said, lingerie is an intimate garment and as it directly contacts the skin, lace is often a firm favorite as its feels great and produces little or no irritation. Men also enjoy the sensation of lace lingerie and will often choose it when buying their partner a present for a special occasion such as Valentine's Day or a romantic weekend away. This has especially increased since the rise of the Internet as men can now buy it online without the embarrassment of shopping for women's lingerie in the department store.

The different lingerie types include corsets, thongs, panties, and stockings to name but a few and can make a big difference in igniting passion between couples both young and old. With its sensual and sexy feeling, lace lingerie is the perfect way of adding spice to your love life. It is worth noting however, when buying your lingerie it is very important to make sure you use a well known retailer as you want the quality to be right and like most other products, the cheaper the price the lower the quality tends to be.

Buying Sexy Lingerie

Gentlemen, if you missed buying your partner sexy lingerie on that special day it's really not too late. Ladies, if you didn't receive sexy lingerie from your man then make sure he somehow reads this article. Gentlemen, if you missed getting her that sexy teddy for Valentines Day then go buy her it now and tell her that you have been waiting for this special new piece to arrive. And, by purchasing lingerie after Valentines Day you will probably get yourself a really great deal. So, whether it's Valentines Day or any other day, one of the best gifts a man can give to his female partner is a lovely piece of sexy lingerie with exotic appeal.

Sexy lingerie will reinforce the idea that a woman is attractive and desirable. Unfortunately, many men feel awkward about entering a lingerie store to purchase a gift because they are not sure how to select the best item for their partner. With so many types of Lingerie to choose from including panties, bras, babydolls, corsets, teddies and even costume lingerie, it can be overwhelming. Here are a few tips on buying lingerie for your partner.

  1. First find out what she would wear. Ask her discreetly if she would wear a certain piece of lingerie that turns you on. Walk by a lingerie store and ask her if she likes something.

  2. Find out her sizes. What size of underwear and bra does she wear? Tell her you would like to buy her some pretty underwear even though your intention is to get her something wild and exotic.

  3. Buy her a set of matching lingerie. Don't cheap out and get her one piece. All the extras will make her feel that more appreciated.

  4. Buy her nice quality lingerie. It doesn't have to be a designer name unless that is what she is accustomed to. Buy her some nice leather or lace lingerie.

  5. If you are going to a store to shop, being confident and enthusiastic will show the attendant or sales person how interested you are. The more interested you are the more interested they are in helping you choose your sexy lingerie set.

  6. If you are shopping online, then it's that much easier. You will also most likely save yourself a few bucks. Make sure you find a store that has a nice selection and lot of great pictures for you to look at when choosing.

  7. Finally and most importantly, present it in an extraordinary way. Make sure the sexy lingerie package is wrapped beautifully and be creative as to how and where you will give it to her. Perhaps somewhere romantic with candles, music and dinner.

For some final touches to make your woman feel extra special, add: a free massage coupon card from yourself, some massage oils, chocolate, and anything else that would turn both you and her on. Role playing can be a lot of fun. So, why not get her some sexy costume lingerie. Have fun!

Different Erotic Lingerie Styles

Not all erotic lingerie was created equal; some styles are sexier than others. Some lingerie garments are more "nasty" in design, such as the open bust and open crotch bodystocking. Some styles are made to cater to those who prefer a more subtle garment, such as babydolls and robes, while other styles cater to those who are not daunted by their own drives or imagination.

Night dresses are short and usually see through lingerie styles that are made to be comfortable to sleep in. They come in all colors and are typically made of silk, cotton, or mesh materials. They are also known as "nighties".

Bodices and bustiers are similar to corsets. Bodices focus more in making the waist shapelier while a bustier is more focused in making the busts more prominent. Bodices are usually sleeveless and are very similar to the traditional folk dress of some countries. A Bustier is reminiscent of what "bunny girls" in popular media wear.

Corsets on the other hand are worn to shape the torso into an hour glass shape. Corsets came into widespread use in the 18th century following the trend where the hour glass torso shape was regarded as a measure of physical beauty. Corsets in our time are used to make people's torsos' smaller. They're considered sensual due to their attribution with domination or the BDSM community.

Playsuits and costumes are also very interesting erotic wear. They come in form of bunny costumes, cat suits or even super hero outfits. How these things come in a sensual concept is intricately laced with the different fantasy of people. Some of these play suits and costumes only involve undergarments (think wonder woman) or very sensual bodysuits (think cat woman).

Thongs and g-strings are indeed very erotic. They display the sensuous curves of the female buttocks. Aside from just conveniently leaving interesting parts uncovered the general design of this underwear is to draw attention to areas which are visually enticing.

Different forms and designs of bras are also to be considered. Bras are the most varied and the most versatile of all lingerie. Different kinds of straps and cup designs offer a wide variety for everyone's taste. They can either be full cup or half, under wired, padded, or strapless. Different fabrics and strap types are for different women: thicker straps and a sturdier fabric for fuller breasted women whereas smaller chests are granted virtual freedom of choice.

Erotic lingerie should be chosen based on preference and demands, but comfort should be the top priority. Don't buy something that is a cup size too small or too big just because it looks good. Too loose or too tight bras and other types of erotic lingerie may cause different health problems, the least of them being back pains and headaches. Ask to be properly fitted at the lingerie shop, or use the sizing charts online to ensure lasting comfort and the proper choice of erotic lingerie.

How to Choose the Appropriate Lingerie When Giving it As a Gift

If there's one task in the world which men find to be daunting, that is none other than giving their lady loves lingerie as a gift. There are a lot of mistakes that men commit in this department. They either give lingerie as a gift too soon in a relationship, or get a gift which the giver, rather than the receiver would enjoy.

To start off, here are a few basic 'unwritten' rules which need to be followed:

- Don't even consider buying lingerie as a gift if you haven't seen her lingerie for yourself. This might come off as either inappropriate or too presumptuous.

- Don't buy her something that you've seen the women in adult films wear - unless she has one of those things herself. Remember that the gift that you are buying is for her, not for you.

- It's better to give her something that's a tad too tight rather than giving her lingerie that's too loose.

- Remember that lingerie is a pretty intimate gift. Women usually give expensive lingerie as gifts to each other, and that's fine. But don't make a social faux pas by giving lingerie as a gift to your mother-in-law or sister-in-law!

Factors to Consider when Choosing Appropriate Lingerie as a Gift:

Now that you know about the basic rules in lingerie gift-giving, here are a few more specific factors that you need to consider:

1. Size: When you go to a lingerie shop, the sales clerk would surely roll her eyes at you when you gesture "She's this big" or "this tall" when you're asked about the size. Standing amidst all that frilly stuff is already scary enough, so don't spend anymore time in there than you have to.

If you don't know her dress size, sneak into her underwear drawer and check on the label of the bra that she's wearing. Look for something that shows a number followed by a letter, like 34C or 36B. You probably already know her height, so the only thing that you need is the size of panties she wears which can come in the standard small, medium or large.

2. Style & color: If you want to splurge, you can buy two types of lingerie - one that you think she will buy for herself, and one that you will enjoy.

After figuring out her size, make sure that the style of the lingerie that you will give as a gift will complement her body type. Get her something that will hide problem areas like her tummy or her thighs.

As for the style, you can take your pick from bustiers, corsets, garter belts or bra and panty sets. Or, you can go for the sexier stuff like chemises, camisoles or baby doll gowns.

As for the color, black, white and red are the most popular options. You can also choose a color that will complement her skin tone or the color of her hair. Blondes, for example, will look great in pastel colors and black.

By following these tips, you can choose the appropriate lingerie that will make your lady love feel beautiful and sexy - and you'll both win in the end!

Steps to Make Your Bra Last Much Longer

We often give men a lot of grief about keeping jeans, shirts and what have you long after they've worn out. Well, we ladies are no better. The vast majority of us keep wearing comfortable bras that are badly worn. Bras are expensive, so buying new ones doesn't always make sense. There are, however, steps you can take to make your bras last much longer.

The modern bra is a huge advancement over those brassieres worn by our ancestors, but they are still delicate pieces of clothing. Most bras come with specific instruction on how they should be laundered. Sometimes you have to visit the website of the brand to find them. If you cannot locate the instructions, there are basic guidelines to follow that will help make your bras last.

Hand Washing

A little elbow grease goes a long way with bras. They are delicate items, so putting them into washers and dryers is like putting a Faberge Egg in the dishwasher. It is going to take a beating. Your bra will be pulled and stretched as it gets caught up in other clothes. Pulling and stretching are very bad for bras. Pile all your bras up for a week and wash them by hand in a sink then let them air dry. Do this and your bras will last at least twice as long compared to using the washer and dryer approach.

Detergent

Bras are often referred to as the "delicates" for a reason. We are not scrubbing the grout in the shower here. Cleaning a bra should not be an occasion to do some venting. Relax and use a detergent that is very mild. This will keep the cups and stitching from becoming frayed and worn.

Temperature

Like your water warm? Well, I have some bad news. Bras should be washed in cold water. Cold water is the only temperature that will not tighten up the material in your bras. This means it will fit the same every time. If you use hot water, the cups will tend to shrink up a bit. This will require a bit of stretching when you first wear the bra again. Stretching and contracting is bad for bras, so it should be avoided. Suck it up and wash those bras in cold water.

So, how long will this extend the life of your bras? It depends on many factors, but you should see double the life compared to washing them in the washer/dryer approach.

Who Invented The Thong?

Ever walk down the street and noticed a woman in front of you? Being a man the first place you will look is at her butt and of course you notice those familiar thong lines that ride over the hip and you go smile a little bit just imaging yourself on how good she look with nothing but that thong on.

If you are like me you will begin to wonder who in the hell invented the thong in the first place? First in my mind for a thong to be invented it had to be invented by a man and not a woman. So I began to surf the internet and have found a few things. It is known that the thong has been around since 1933 when nude dancers wore them during their shows and performances. The thong was so risque during those times that in NYC the Mayor at the time Fiorello LaGuardia made a law against them. Not much else is know about it until the sexy 70's

The thong was invented by a man a fashion designer by the name of Rudi Gernreich back in 1974in Brazil. It wasn't until 1977 when it hit the beaches of brazil and on the bronze bodies of Brazilian women everywhere. Here in the US they are called "Thongs" everywhere else they are called "Tangas" a good name because it rhymes with "Nalgas" Spanish for "Butt Cheeks" Many songs have been written about the thong or tangas. Here in the US women needed a reason to wear thongs for every day wear. What they noticed is when they wore slacks there was no panty lines. More the reason to wear thongs I'd say.

Unfortunately thongs are not meant for every woman to wear. Heavy women or women who are not blessed with a nice round butt cannot and shouldn't wear these. Its only fair because you wont catch my overweight butt wearing nothing but a Speedo looking like peter from family guy.

Anyway browsing through the net I have found what they call a Thong Etiquette please read below.

"THONG ETIQUETTE"

1. If you're wearing low rise jeans (which, by the way, should ALWAYS be worn with tops that cover/tuck into/meet the band. Even if you don't have that Mushroom Fat hanging over wear LOW RISE THONGS! Yes, they make these. Try Macy's or Kohls for a fast, easy and often cheap grab at them. There's been a new word invented for thongs peaking or escaping from the top of jeans: WHALE TAIL.(be careful if you Google it...for obvious reasons)

2. If you don't have BUNS of STEEL then you might want to think about wearing SEAMLESS PANTIES. Again try Macy's or Victoria's Secret. We do NOT want to draw attention to our rears via Panty Lines OR Jiggly Bums.

3. If you are wearing something in which the Cling : Thong Line Ratio is way out of wack and we now have Thong Lines (which will not only draw attention but the WRONG kind) then, and please read carefully, WEAR STOCKINGS. Stockings are equipped with a Cotton Crotch, which you may be interested in knowing there was a time when NO undergarments had Breathable Crotches and it was creating quite the atmosphere down there...Cotton Crotch makes Stockings the equivalent of Panties hence you DO NOT NEED TO WEAR PANTIES WITH STOCKINGS. But if you choose to you don't have to worry about JIGGLY BUM or THONG LINES! Brilliant!

Whether it's the Devils panties or earthly necessities I think it is needed. In a world with so many uptight people sometimes a little glance never hurts no one especially me!

Until next time!

Simone Perele Eliza Black Underwired Triangle Bra

Unique Details:

This is a truly exquisite black underwired triangle bra in transparent black tulle highlighted with a classic and delicate soft blue floral embroidery on the bra cup. The deeply plunging neckline is met with a small blue bow at the centre and thin double straps to create a delicate yet elegant bra.

Personal Opinion:

This Simone Pérèle triangle bra is simply beautiful! It has the modernity of a triangle bra with the support of an underwire whilst having double rouleau straps. The simplicity in the embroidery on the sheer black cups is what makes this bra stand out from the rest, and the bound bra cup edge and double straps add elegance and charm.

This definitive Simone Perele bra looks absolutely gorgeous on a lady and is definitely one of my favorite items of lingerie! The triangle shape fits great and will suit most and flatter all sizes, however it is important to bear in mind that this style of darted cups will not offer the same support as a seamed bra cup. Nevertheless, this bra is absolutely perfect for everyday wear, and will look great in the bedroom when teamed with the matching thong from the set that mirrors the elegant embroidery on the bra. A perfect addition to any women's collection whether you intend to wear it night or day!

Comfort: 5/5

Style: 5/5

Fit 5/5

Shape it Up With an Undergarment For Every Body and Dress

The worst thing about dresses is the single, straight line down your entire body. While there are several flattering styles available to suit just about any body type, every bump, lump or unflattering curve will be shown from some angle. This, of course, is why we have undergarments.

Full body shapers

These stretchy yet tight undergarments fit from the upper thigh to the shoulders. Not only do they stand in for the standard bra and underwear, they tuck and smooth all the unflattering areas. Full body shapers are usually invisible, erase panty lines and can be worn under just about any dress with straps. If you've got an all around fuller figure, these are your best bet.

The downside of full body shapers is that most don't breathe as well as they say they do. This may leave you feeling sweaty and uncomfortable by the end of the night. If you get one that's too big, you'll just add bulk without smoothing; if you get one that's too small, you'll have unseemly bulges and/or rolls. Also, if you have a larger chest, they can smoosh more than shape, leading to the dreaded "uniboob".

Lower half shapers

These act much like full body shapers, except they come up only to your rib cage. These are perfect for avoiding to aforementioned "uniboob" and hiding figure flaws under strapless dresses. If you have a bit of a tummy, you'll be better off with one of these and your typical bra than a full body shaper.

The absolutely correct size is especially important with these. If you get one that is too small, you'll end up with extremely unattractive (and probably painful) bulges on your back. If the size is wrong in either direction, the portion that covers your rib cage will continuously fold or bunch downward.

Many lower half shapers come up only to your waist. Unless you have no extra pudge anywhere but your lower tummy, do not purchase one of these. They are excellent at nipping in abdominal pudge, but push anything else up, and over, the top of the waist band.

Minimizing bras

For those who have larger than normal chests, these bras can be a life saver. They gently, and discretely, tuck in your breasts to reduce them by up to two cup sizes. This, of course, is a must have if purchasing dresses is next to impossible because of your chest size.

Be extremely careful and choosy when purchasing a minimizing bra. You should be professionally fitted and try on a wide variety of styles. You don't want anything that is too tight in the band, as that will lead to unattractive rolls, or anything that feels constricting around your chest. You may need to visit several stores and part with a fair bit of money to find the perfect one.

Control top panty hose

Much like the lower body shapers, these shouldn't be worn if you worry about anything be pushed above the waist band. These are perfect for smoothing out small lower body imperfections, but fail at really "controlling" the abdominal area. They also suffer from the rolling down problem seem with the shapers.

If you're wearing a full body shaper, don't pair it with control top hose. You'll end up feeling restricted and miserable. Instead, opt for thigh high hose, with either a garter belt or an elastic lining along the top.

Minimizing Your Bust Line With a Specialty Bra

The days of one bra being appropriate for all occasions are long gone. As any woman knows, there seems to a special bra for just about any possible event. In this article, we take a look at the minimizer bra, its purpose and how it works.

Cosmetic surgery is the leading elective surgery of choice in the United States. One of the most popular surgeries is the breast enhancement procedure notwithstanding many of the issues that arose regarding silicone implants. While there seems to be a universal desire to increase the size of our bust line according to the media, it simply is not true. In fact, you may want to de-emphasize your breast size and shape during more conservative moments. For those times, the bra industry has come up with the minimizer bra.

What is the exact purpose of a minimizer bra? Some women naturally or through a bit of "work" have large breasts. While this might seem like something to envy, there are definite downsides. Men can give you an indepth account of what your top is made out of, but they can't tell you the color of your eyes. After a few years, this can get a bit old and women with larger breasts will use minimizer bras to try to change that. Breast reduction surgery is another approach, but neither a cheap nor painless one!

Another arena in which minimizer bras are utilized is the business environment. The preferred focus is usually on emphasizing one's mental capacity, not physical assets. A bountiful bosom often becomes a negative from this perspective. With a minimizer bra, the issue can be dealt with to a certain extent.

So, just what is a minimizer bra and how does it work? A minimizer bra is designed to create the image of your breasts being one to two cup sizes smaller than they really are. The bra accomplishes this by compressing and compacting each breast in the cup. The design of the bra is such that it usually comes with an underwire, seamless cups and larger straps to provide a more firm fit. The horizontal band between the cups is not made out of flexible material as is found on most bras for the same reason.

Minimizer bras come in many different styles and forms. There is no "best" choice. The optimal pick is dependent entirely on how your specific figure fits them. One area to really watch out for is the slippage cup issue. If you do not get the fit just right, the breast can "slip" out of the cup up and under the armpit. This become very uncomfortable pretty quickly and will lead to chafing and a rash if not addressed.

Minimizing one's breast might seem an odd thought at first, but it is definitely a desire of many women with larger breast. Breast reduction surgery is a definite option, but minimizer bras are much cheaper and do the job on an occasion by occasion basis.

Lingerie Product Review - Mimi Holliday Balconette Bra

Mimi Holliday White Polka Dot Silk Chiffon Balcony Bra

Unique Details:

This is a gorgeous Mimi Holliday 100% Silk balconette bra though this excludes the trimmings. The silk chiffon on this sexy balcony bra gives it a very luxurious and sensual feel whilst the playful polka dots add a bit of fun. The ribbon straps and the lace trims have added an eye-catching feature to a bra that would look great under a top or for a quiet 'night in' in the bedroom!

Personal Opinion:

This balconette bra is great and is perfect for those less daring! The choice of fabrics is exotically sumptuous and the silk chiffon feels gorgeous against your skin. I love how they have gathered the chiffon on the cup which adds interest and a quite unique feature. This simple design is made bolder and more eye-catching with the ribbon straps and delicate ribbon bows. Great attention to detail had been made with the use of trimmings along the underband and wing. This Mimi Holliday balcony bra is perfect for those special occasions and will make you feel super sexy all day, definitely one of my favourites!

To complete the set and bring out your naughty side a coordinating bow thong and french knicker would work wonders in the bedroom! The sexy matching thong also includes a large bow on the back to tantalise and to hypnotize!

Women's Bras - Size Matters!

Eighty percent of women are wearing the wrong size bra research shows. Is it because your body has changed, or you never really got it right the first time? Either way it can be an uncomfortable and unbecoming problem.

Finding the right bra is not rocket science, but it can be the difference between looking stunning or feeling blah. Here is the proper method for choosing wisely.

Band size is measured by by drawing the tape around the upper part of your chest, underneath your arms and rounding up to the nearest even inch. Cup size is determined the same way. but measuring around your breasts as well. Then you subtract the band size. Each inch that your bust size is greater than your band size, it represents a cup size. So if your bust measurement is 4 inches larger than your band size you wear a D cup.

Be sure to adjust the straps and make sure your breasts are settled in the bra. The bra should feel as if it is just supporting your breasts. No discomfort or pressure points that make you feel crooked should be present. It may take a few different styles to find the proper fit. Putting on a white cotton tee shirt and looking at your front and back in a mirror will show you any unsightly wrinkles or digging.

Remember that you are using your bras and undergarments to shape yourself. They should always enhance your appearance, and can even make you look thinner. So be sure that you have the best fit.

The Bra Dryer Invention - Dry Your Bra Without Damaging It

The bra is a fundamental part of the female wardrobe. As you well know, they are not the cheapest of undergarments, which makes it all the more aggravating when they fall apart quickly. There's a new invention that might help make them last a lot longer.

What is the number one way bras are damaged? Is it during a romantic lunch with George Clooney or Brad Pitt? Unfortunately, no. The single biggest point at which they are damaged is when they are drying. Throwing them into the dryer is a huge mistake as the spinning and heat will simply destroy the cups, stitching and elastic areas. Using a hair dryer or hanging them to air dry is a problem as well since the padding tends to bunch up or wrinkle. Well, a solution may be on its way - the Bra Dryer.

The Bra Dryer is a device that comes in the shape of a woman's torso at the breast level. A bra is essentially placed on it just as it would look on you. The torso, however, has a vented surface that allows infrared heat to pass through to dry the bra by evaporating it. Fans then blow the humid air out and away from the bra. The general idea is to provide gentle drying to a bra that will remove the humidity, but keep the shape of the bra.

Are there limitations? Yes and no. The biggest issue with the Bra Dryer at the moment is...it doesn't exist. It is actually in the concept stage. The concept was invented by Alexander Farennikov in Orange County, California. He is pursuing a patent at this time and investors for the seed money needed to get production and up and running.

On a more practical level, the Bra Dryer is not meant for all bras. It works best with padded cups because it keeps their shape. It will, however, work with all bras according to Mr. Farennikov. What about sizing? Although it isn't entirely clear how the process will work, the torso device will come with exchangeable cup sizes so that the Bra Dryer can be used with all bras.

There is one thing you can be sure of when a device is in the concept stage - it will be changed. Still, the basic idea behind the Bra Dryer is a pretty good one. Assuming the device does half of what is claimed, we may all be getting a lot more mileage from our bras!

What Lies Beneath Your Foundation Garments?

Have you ever seen a great outfit ruined, unknown by the wearer, by the under garments? This crime is rampant around town. Crimes include but are not limited to, insufficiently supportive bras, visible panty lines (VPL's) rolls, and wrinkles. You, as the designer of your own outfit have control here. Do something now!

Most women are walking around unknowingly wearing the wrong size bra. Statistics estimate that approximately 85% of women are wearing the wrong size. Often observers can tell size and fit are a problem because the cups are full to the brim and overflowing, or seemingly empty cups with lots of wrinkles because the size is too big. This problem is very easy to fix. Ladies, go and let a specialist fit you with the proper size. Many department and specialty stores offer this service. It only takes a few minutes and most stores provide this service free of charge. You will be very pleased with the results of wearing the right size bra.

When the bust-line is like a low hanging fruit (located around the elbows or lower) you make yourself look older. When you bring the bust-line up to midway between the shoulders and the elbow, you have made yourself look more youthful. The right size bra will complement you in many ways.

Also important, is to wear the correct type of bra for your outfit. Straps should not show; if you are planning to wear a halter, strapless or racer-back top, buy the right bra that works with the top. Bras come in many shapes and sizes, buy the one that fits your specific need, and dress well.

VPL's can definitely make a mess of your outfit. So think hard before you put on your next pair of underwear. If your underwear is too loose, it will cause wrinkles to show underneath your clothes. If it is too tight you will see the VPL's. Neither look is optimal. What can you do? There are options. Have you considered the thong or g-string, these can minimize lines or create a few of their own!

Undergarments like Spanx are also a possibility. These not only get rid of lines, they also remove some of you! Or at least get a serious grasp on you! Undergarments with spandex can slim you down quite a bit. They can make a shirt, skirt, dress or slacks lie flat and smooth against your body in a way you can only dream about, when you are not wearing them. They come in various lengths, thigh, knee, calf, and ankle. All this variety should cover all your needs.

I have tried some of the Spanx on, for me breathing was an issue. I have heard some women say they have worn 2 pair at once. I am sure they achieved a smooth look but could they move and breathe easily?

The thing to remember is there are many options available. Undergarments do not last forever so be sure and do a refresh regularly to make sure they are still working hard for you! So get rid of all those unsightly lines and be optimally dressed everyday with the right foundation.

Women's Bras - The Enhancer

Buying an enhancer bra can be a way to give you more confidence as well as comfortable in certain outfits. It is becoming increasingly popular to use breast augmentation as a means of getting the bust you desire, but it can be expensive and sometimes dangerous.

If you are thinking of breast enhancement then an enhancer bra is a good place to start to try out the look you are going for. Testing it out in different social situations can shed light on many of the benefits that you are hoping to achieve. Women's bras have come a long way recently and there are many enhancers available today.

If you are young and you are not seeking enhancement, but want to have the look that you will eventually grow to then enhancers can benefit you also. Be sure that you are not put in situations that may end in embarrassment when using enhancer bars. Any thing where you might have to change clothing or use a bathing suit should be avoided. Be sure that the people you are with won't immediately notice your change by using several small increases over time.

Enhancers are a good way to see yourself in a new light, just be sure to follow this advice and use common sense. Using an enhancer bra is just another tool in your arsenal like make-up or hair coloring. It really is a matter of getting the look that you want, so try an enhancer bra before turning to something permanent.

Benefits of Buying Lingerie Online

There are many good reasons to buy lingerie online, especially if you are a man. Going into a women's store to look for that special lingerie item for your loved one could be quite embarrassing for some men. Crowds of females and lots of bright colours and delicate fabrics surround you. It's just not what you are used to and you can feel yourself breaking out in a sweat just thinking about it. Then having to actually look through all that lingerie to pick the right size could be quite traumatic.

If you are looking for the perfect gift, then why not look online instead? No crowds, no hassles; just your familiar computer and you. You can bring up pictures of all the garments available and order what you want with the click of your mouse. You won't feel the least bit embarrassed because there is no need to ask for help from a female shop assistant. Sure in a real shop the assistant can help, but you have to know the size, colour preference and style of garment first.

Yes, you still have to know those things when buying online, but the pictures are there before you, so it's easy to make a choice. You don't even have to know the names of the garments. Bustiers, thongs, camisoles, baby dolls and different kinds of panties are all tagged with their correct names. Simply choose those you like the look of. And if you get it wrong, you can nearly always return it for a refund or replacement without feeling embarrassed to explain everything to the salesgirl.

Just make sure when you are buying online that you choose a reputable business and check their refund policy. Some online stores have no freight charges, or they may have sales just like your bricks and mortar stores do, so you can still take advantage of a bargain.

Bra Fit - Do's and Don'ts

To find a bra that really fits seems like an impossibility most days. Either you are falling out of the top or bottom of the cup or you're getting pocked by underwires that seem to have been designed by a torturer from the Spanish Inquisition! Can't anyone design a good bra?! Yes and no. In this article, we cover the do's and don'ts of a good bra fit.

Is there a perfect bra on the market? Sorry, but no. The bra industry is so messed up, it is hard to know where to start talking about it. Do you realize that the brands can't even agree on how to measure the size? Some think the band size should be married across the upper area of the breasts, while others believe it should be just under them. Throw in the different sizing calculations by European and American manufacturers and it is rather amazing that bras fit at all.

How bad are things with bra sizes? One study in the United Kingdom focused on the reason behind women get breast reduction surgery. Do you know what they found? The reason was back and neck pain. Closer examinations revealed that the problem was not the size or weight of the breasts, but the fact that all 102 women in the study were wearing the wrong bra size!

Given this mess, how can we possibly be expected to find the right bra for our body types? In these modern times, the sad answer is trial and error is about the only way short of a professional fitting. With this in mind, here are some do's and don'ts to getting the best fit.

The number one issue with fitting a bra is the band size. The band running around the bottom of the bra should be providing most of the support. This means getting the fit right is critical. The band should run just under your breasts and then proceed at the same height all the way around your trunk and across your back. The band should not be higher on your back than it is on your front. Also, the band should be snug around your trunk, but not so tight as to cause you discomfort or breathing issues.

The second fit issue most women get wrong involves the cups. Women with larger breasts tend to where cups that are too small. Smaller breasted women tend to go in the opposite direction. The cup should fit snuggly around your breasts. If there are any gaps, you need a smaller size. In contrast, if you "flow over" the edge of the cups anywhere, you are wearing a size that is too small. Get the cup size right and you'll have a much more comfortable bra.

Nothing is as aggravating as being poked by underwire bras. Well, the poking should be a sign. If you are getting poked in the arm, the band size is too small. Go up a size. If you are getting poked in the breast or inside of the underarm area, the band size is too large. Try going down a size and see if it helps. If you are getting poked in derriere, you are either having way too much fun or have no idea how to wear a bra!

If you can get these three basic areas right with your bra, you'll have a better fit than the vast majority of women out there. You might also notice back and neck pain as well as headaches suddenly disappear.

Surprise Her With Sheer Lingerie

If you've been itching to find the perfect gift for your special girl, and your celebration is drawing near (whether it's an anniversary, birthday, Christmas, or even New Year), there is always one brilliant present idea that will thrill your girl and you. Why not kill two birds with one stone? A great way to bring out your gal's wild side is to give her a wild present, and there is no better idea than to give her sheer lingerie. Outrageous, sexual, and yet romantic all at once, lingerie will boost your girl's mood by a wide margin, and spice up your love life for years to come.

Lingerie has always come in various shapes and sizes, and since you are the gift-giver, you have the pleasure of getting to pick out what you want her to wear. After that, it gets even better! Be sure to pick the kind of lingerie you think she will like. Some girls may find it a turn-off if it looks 'trashy' in any way. Thongs, g-strings and similar wear often fall under that category. That is why sheer lingerie is the best choice - it is comfortable, lacy, and elegant. Your girlfriend or wife will find herself feeling more beautiful and sexy when she tries them on, and for your benefit, they are very easy to take off.

Men are often completely clueless when it comes to shopping for females. Unfortunately, the same thing can be said when you are shopping for lingerie. In fact, you will probably find yourself too embarrassed to walk into a store and examine their underwear section. Have no fear, because there are many lingerie shops online! You can save yourself the trouble and instead search for a website selling them, with only a couple of clicks with your computer mouse. Using the internet makes it much easier to surprise her with sheer lingerie, because you can easily browse through pages and pages of designs and find your desired product. Most websites even offer gift-wrapping, so that your present will be mailed immediately to her without question. Online shopping can help put the 'surprise' in 'surprise gift'!

If you are fretting over sizes, most online shops also offer advice to men about the measurements they need to confirm. If you remain unsure, then there is no harm in asking your own girlfriend or wife what their sizes are. Doing this will not spoil the surprise in any way because she will not assume that you are purchasing lingerie.

On the big day (or rather, big night), you can have a romantic dinner at home with your girl in order to set the mood. Do not try to rush things by suddenly presenting her with her gift. Teasing her will also heighten the anticipation, so that she will be absolutely gleeful when she unwraps her present. By giving her sheer lingerie, the night will surely be very enjoyable and incredibly special -- a pleasant surprise for the both of you.
