Better Bras - Try New Designs For a Better Fit

We are all of us creatures of habit. Once we find something we are generally happy with or at least can tolerate, we tend to stick with it. This is a mistake with bras as you'll miss advancements that can make you feel and look better.

A bra is a bra is a bra. Isn't this the way most of us think? Well, a closer look reveals this simply isn't the truth. Once can simply look at specialty bras such as sports bras. There were no sports bras a hundred years ago. Can you imagine going for a jog in a regular bra these days? Ouch! Of course most women were not doing a lot of jogging in 1909, but you get my drift.

The larger point is there are advances occurring all the time in bra design.... Many are tiny little advances, but some are big. Combined, the comfort and support factor of bras have come a long way in the last five years as well as the last twenty years. If you are sticking with a bra design that you've worn for the last five years, you are really missing out. Consider some of the advancements made recently.

What is the number on thing we hate about bras? Getting poked! Underwire bras offer great support, but they can be soooo aggravating when the underwire pokes you in the arm...underarm...breast and so on. Bra designers are not deaf. They've heard our collective groan. A number of new underwire designs now contain little buffer devices on the end of the underwire. They don't stop the poking, but the make it more of a push feeling instead of a poking. It makes a huge difference. By the way, the poking means you're wearing the wrong bra size.

Since I am not a size 1, I have a rather unflattering problem with the back of my bras. I tend to bulge around the band as it comes under my arms and around my back. It isn't a good look, but there really isn't much I can do other than go without a bra completely. I'm not really willing to do that, so I just try to wear loose clothing that hides the unsightly lumps. Well, I just found out there are new bra designs that use a microfiber designed to provide a firm fit without creating the bulges. Wow, I could actually buy a thin cotton top!

We all wear bras and there is something about each one that aggravates us. Somewhere in the world at some bra design office, there is someone trying to come up with a solution for the problem. When they do, it would be a shame to miss out on it, right? Right, so get out there and try on new designs with new technology to see if you can find a better bra for yourself.

When You Should Wear Balcony Bras

The days of one bra working for every occasion are gone with the proverbial wind and/or 401k. These days, there is a specialty bra that has been designed with a particular fashion issue in mind. The balcony bra is one of these bras.

You go out shopping and find a top you love. The top fits well and you can see it meshing well with a number of skirts and pants you have. You buy it and a week or two passes. When you finally have an opportunity to wear it, you discover a big problem. The top has a scoop neck and the upper edges of your bra cups show. Obviously, this is a major problem

The balcony bra, also known as a balconette bra, is designed to address just this outfit problem. In general, you want as much support and coverage as you can get out of your bra. With scoop or low cut neck tops, this creates a natural fashion conflict. How can you get the support you need without the cups showing? After a number of failed designs, designers came up with a unique approach.

The balcony bra solves the problem by providing more support than you usually get along the bottom and outer area of the cups. This effectively causes the breasts to rise and move towards the center of the chest. Of course, this creates cleavage, which usually is desirable with a low cut neck.

Ah, but we still have our problem with the upper edges of the cup showing, right? Not really. The balcony bra design reduces the cup coverage across the top and inner area of the breasts. This effectively keeps the cups from showing above the cut line of the top unless you are wearing something with a severe plunge.

The real beauty of a balcony bra is it provides you with a solution to low cut tops without sacrificing much performance. Bras are designed to provide support from the bottom up, not the top down. As a result, the support provided by the band running around the lower edge of the bra and the cups themselves are critical to the performance of a bra. Although the balcony bra sacrifices some support by reducing the cup coverage, it more than makes up for it with extra support in the lower cup and band area. It is a perfect mixture of form and function.

If you wear low cut tops, a balcony bra is a must for your undergarment collection.

Tips For Buying Lingerie For Your Beloved

Thinking about buying some lingerie for your beloved? Here is some advice on doing so.

First of all, make sure that she doesn't mind other people buying clothing items for her. If you are trying to surprise her, you can ask her best friend, but tell her to keep it a secret!

You will also need to know her size before you buy her any lingerie or other clothing. It will be awkward to just come right out and ask her, but you can get this off of a tag or (again) ask her closest friend to find out the sizes for you.

Once you know what size she wears, now the hard part kicks in! You have to select something you think she will like. That can be hard! But there are ways of doing this, even while staying in stealth mode.

For example, you can purchase a catalog from a local store and have her friend look through it with her. Or have her friend go window shopping with her. When the wife points to certain lingerie items she likes, the friend can make a mental note of it and tell you which ones!

If you prefer to figure this out for yourself, here are a few things to keep in mind. First of all, look at her existing wardrobe. Try to buy items that, even if they are special, will fit in and match with what she normally wears.

If you are buying lingerie, you will of course want to purchase styles that you like, that you personally think she would look good in. However, don't go overboard. If you get something too sexy and revealing, she may be offended. (You probably know your beloved well enough to know whether that would be the case or not).

Make sure to buy a color that she likes. Again, you probably already know what her favorite color(s) are, so buy the clothing accordingly.

Lingerie Secret - How to Choose the Perfect Piece

Here is a secret on choosing lingerie? First of all, let me ask you this question...What are looking to do for your man? A confident Woman understands the provocative physical response she has on her man (on any more for that matter)... so the question is, what kind of carnal, bodice-ripping fantasy does she want to explore with her man? Or maybe she just wants to explore the fantasy herself? It could be simple or complex, but it starts in the mind and goes out from there. Whatever it is, it's got to be something that makes her feel like she is a most cherished prize. And when a woman finally and teasingly reveals to her man what's been dancing around in her mind, inflating her libido, the bed room is ready to be torn asunder. It's suffice to say that sexy lingerie has the distinct ability to elevate any and all carnal encounter... and that's what you want anyway, isn't it?

So now that you've taken the plunge on deciding that you are going to purchase some delightfully naughty sexy lingerie, how do you go about choosing it? This requires some truth-telling... no need to lie to one's self, because when it comes time to strut into the candle-lit bedroom you're not looking to hide anything any way... as it's all going to come off in the next 10 minutes! The choice of lingerie has a lot to do with body shape, not necessarily body type or weight. Any woman WILL look good - in the eyes of her man - with the properly chosen garment. Effectively evocative lingerie accentuates a Woman's natural curves, so she must decide on what are her greatest assets (boobs, booty, legs) and go from there.

Now, a corset has a unique ability to pump up the volume on a woman's assets - as is cinches in the waist and props up her boobs which in turn appears to give them more volume and the form-fitting nature of a corset adds an intangible quality to the final presentation, as well. Presentation is the key, isn't it? And corsets bestow an hourglass figure if one doesn't exist, and brings an existing one into a whole new light. All these little elements heighten the experience for the viewer and ratchet up the excitement level, the playfulness. You can spare no expense when choosing lingerie, because you'll regret it afterward. So splurge on what ever you chose.
