Buying Lingerie - A Quick Guide For Men When Buying Lingerie and Underwear For Their Woman

Guys, before you set out to buy your lovely lady something special from the lingerie department, here are a couple of tips to help you pick out something that she really will enjoy.

First of all, buying lingerie for your sweetheart can be both an intimate and thoughtful present, but it depends on how you do it. If you are not careful, she might perceive your present, as merely you acting like a pervert.

So before you buy, consider why it is that you want to buy her lingerie? If it is just to see her in an especially slutty schoolgirl or nurse's costume, you are probably just going to get yourself into a huge heap of trouble!

The last thing you want is to end up sleeping alone or being in the doghouse because she took your present the wrong way. However, if you do get it right, your little surprise can be an especially sweet gesture of affection.

If you know her well, you will know what she likes. If she never wears a g-string, chances are she will still not want to wear one even if you buy it for her. Think of what kind of styles and patterns she usually likes. She will notice that you were considerate in your purchase, and it will help your present be something that gets used instead of just something that gets shoved in the back of her drawer.

Next, know your sizing. Even if you are absolutely clueless about the ins and outs of women's under things, there is an easy way to find out. Simply look for a bra she has left lying around or find one in her underwear drawer. Write down the sizes; this will make it very easy to find something that will fit her. Underwear sizes come in small, medium, and so on, or they come in number sizes. If you can, find a pair that has a number size, as that is more specific, and will guarantee a better fit.

Next, it will help if you know a little bit of basic lingerie terminology. Obviously, you are probably aware of bras and panties. Camisoles are like a bra with a built in sheer part that covers the midriff. Teddies are like little one piece's that cover the whole torso. Either of these are a great choice for a man to buy as a present because they suggest romance instead of kinkiness or lustiness.

Finally, a few last minute tips to help you avoid disaster. Do not buy anything that says 'control' or 'reducing,' or anything like that on the label. You can see how a present like that might be misinterpreted as you calling her fat.

In the same way, cleavage-enhancing bras could be interpreted as you calling her flat chested. And once again, avoid getting kinky items, because that generally does not say 'I love you.'

Then, finally, it is time for you to get to enjoy picking something out! Pick something that you know she will look ravishing in! Silky, lacy, or a colour you really like on her. Something like this will definitely send the message of how much you care for her and how beautiful you think she is.

Unique Bras For Fitting Issues

The female body is not uniform. When it comes to undergarments, we all have unique dimensions. Heck, our girls aren't even the same size. This effectively means there is no "right" bra for all of us.

For many, a specific type of bra is the key to finding ample support and comfort. The problem is most women don't know all the bra choices available. With this in mind, let's take a look at some unique bras that can make the difference between a great fit and a poor one.

Racerback Bras

Racerback bras have straps that run up towards the neck on the chest. As the straps come around the neck and down the back, the straps come together before moving down to the band. The "straps" can be traditional bra sizes or much larger and in more of a flat cloth design.

The advantage of the racerback bra is it tends to take pressure off the outer shoulder area. If you find you have red, angry marks from your straps or, on the opposite end of things, the straps are always falling off your shoulders, the racerback bra can be a godsend. It also tends to pull the breasts up and to the middle of the chest, which is particularly comfortable for some women. If you wear tank tops, the racerback bra is the bra of choice.

Bralette

A bralette is not really a bra per se. It is more like a half t-shirt with cups on it. The bra is incredibly comfortable, but provides little support. If you are purely trying to find something comfortable, the bralette is about as good as you are going to do. The fact there is no support at all, however, makes it a bra that should only be worn occasionally.

Foam

The foam bra is not made of foam. Instead, it is a basic bra with a thinner foam lining in the cups. The bra is particularly comfortable because of the additional support provided directly to the breast. Depending on the brand, you may be able to move the foam lining around a bit. This allows you to adjust the fit for both breasts since each is slightly different than the other in size and shape. The foam lining bra will also hide any nipple show through issues you might have.

The days of one bra fits all are long gone. Don't just try different sizes to find the perfect bra for your body. Instead, look through new and different design styles to see if there is one that could make the difference with your body type. You'll be glad you did if you find the perfect bra.

Bustier and Corset - Differentiating Lingerie Twins

We have seen it, we have seen Madonna wear it, we know our great grandparents used to wear it and we see adult movies where women wear variations of it. What we are talking about here are corsets and bustiers. Modern day fashion has brought the corset and the bustier from the inside of an outfit to the outfit itself, usually being paired by a pair of sexy jeans, a mini denim skit, Elizabethan style skirts or even tutus.

Women with a fuller build are the ones that really benefit from wearing corsets and bustiers. Plus size corsets hug all the right places that need to be cinched and at the same time, they also make the places that you want to be accentuated really stand out - like the chest and the hips, giving that fantastic hour-glass figure that everyone longs for. Plus size corsets are really heaven sent for the bbw (big beautiful woman).

A big question that may be tickling the minds of those that wear plus size corsets is that they are very similar to bustiers. To help settle a rather trivial but curious dispute let us differentiate the twins of the lingerie world, the bustier and the corset.

Bustier:

A bustier is a sleeveless top that spans the bust to the waist (sometimes touching the hips or the top area of the butt) and it is worn either as lingerie or as outer clothing. It is form fitting and it may sometimes have garters attached to it. Modern bustiers now have thin lacy straps but most bustiers are like tube tops.

Corset:

The corset was developed more than a millennium ago. It is a close fitted boned undergarment that shapes a woman's torso. It can either extend from above or below the bust to the hips, giving that appropriate binding effect to have a flatter waistline.

As you can see from the definition above, the two are more likely to be called as twins. They look the same and they practically do the same thing. But in the interest of settling the debate, one huge difference between the two is that the corset came first in terms of origin while the bustier came trailing decades later. A more prominent difference is that a corset does not always cover the breasts while a bustier always does. A corset that covers the chest area is called an over-bust corset.

In any case, both lingerie styles can be worn in and out of the bedroom. Especially for plus size women, you really want to emphasize the breasts as they are usually one of the best assets a fuller woman has. Wearing a plus size corset or a plus size bustier can further enhance that, giving you a more voluptuous appearance.

Some women are hesitant in wearing a plus size corset in public, but if you wear it in good taste, then there is nothing to be worried about. Just make sure you wear it in appropriate places such as parties and clubs and you can never go wrong!

The recession is such these days that finding clothing that can fill multiple needs is a necessity. To this end, Chantelle offers a bra that simply is flexible, yet excellent.

The Chantelle Senso is just a great bra.  It is a little firmer than the Chantelle Body Sculpt, yet does not feel like a harness.  It has great support and comfort.  It comes in the basic colors, nude and black.   It does not have anything fancy such as stripes or other designs.  If you want molding, firmness, and versatility, this is the bra for you.  It is a popular style and goes up to a G cup.  It also provides great shaping and allows you to look invisible underneath.  It is just so smooth and has a slight plunge to allow for some cleavage action.

My own experience: I was traveling across the USA on holiday and found out how expensive those extra luggage bags cost for an airline flight.  As you know, you want to travel light and yet have everything you need for every occasion.  This bra is a life-saver, not only for space, but for everything in my wardrobe.  During my vacation, I was able to relax and not worry about the nipple protrusion.  It is a molded bra and hides them.  I did not have to worry about the lines of my bra showing through my tight fitting clothing.  It is such a smooth bra.  Finally, I did not worry about my straps showing.  I could just alternate the strap positions of my bra.

This is a truly versatile bra.  Even when I am not traveling, this is my everyday bra and every evening bra.  I own five of them.  It is comfortable, supportive, and so smooth.  The French really can meet my everyday lingerie needs.  It is a perfect bra for a full cup woman like me.  It also provides for great shaping and support.  I love absolutely love this bra and the support it provides.
